How do you say goodbye to someone that has been apart of your life since what feels like forever?
To me, he is my everything. He is the reason I am the way I am and the reason life seems to exsist, totally dramatic I know but when you're in love, that's how it is.
But to him, I am slowly becoming just another person. Just someone else that has gone off to do bigger and better things while leaving him behind. I am slowly, surely, becoming- the past.
No matter how often we stay in touch, no matter how often we glance or just stare at the others photo, a different reaction comes from both.
I have him based in my future as much as he has been my past.
He is saying 'maybe in the future' if I can't leave you in my past.
I know, I KNOW, the love will never fade. He knows it too.
But I am constantly loving him and constantly, still falling IN love.
Even though we are 600 miles away.
While he is constantly loving me but constantly letting that bond leave his reality.
I hate to make him 'seem' like the bad guy in any situation, but he is the hero of my heart and has left me in my tower of out-of-state college. Alone.
So this is what I'm asking: is it wrong to say goodbye? Is it wrong to take down his pictures while streaking my cheeks with warm, salty water, and shoving them back in the farthest drawer? Is it wrong to never want to talk or see him again, so I too, can see him as just the past? Can I even say goodbye?
